Why this recipe existsThis is a dish you can have for breakfast or as a dessert when you're craving chocolate, and it's really filling.
Rinse the millet thoroughly under running water and drain.
Add milk (or a plant-based beverage) to a saucepan and season with a pinch of salt. Add the rinsed millet to the boiling milk.
When the porridge comes to a boil, reduce the heat to low and let it simmer for 10–15 minutes until tender.
While it’s cooking, add the cinnamon and stir occasionally (otherwise it will stick).
Add more milk if needed. This ensures it cooks properly. When it’s done, you’ll notice it crumbles between your teeth.
Meanwhile, roughly chop the chocolate and hazelnuts.
Then, using a soup ladle, add the millet porridge to a bowl, followed by the chopped chocolate and hazelnuts to taste, and finally the sweetener of your choice.
