Salty cottage cheese roll
Ingredients
- 300 g phyllo dough
- 500 g fresh cottage cheese
- 100 g sour cream
- 1 egg
- 1 pinch of salt (to taste)
- Oil for greasing the baking pan
Instructions
In a slightly larger bowl, add the cottage cheese, an egg, salt to taste, and sour cream (set aside 1 tablespoon for the topping). Mix everything together.
Once the spread is ready, let it sit for a bit so the flavors meld together (check the saltiness after 10 minutes).
Then line a baking pan with parchment paper and brush it with oil.
Now, layer the dough: first brush a teaspoon of oil onto the dough, then spread the cottage cheese mixture that you set aside earlier.
Once you’ve used up all the mixture in layers, spread the sour cream you set aside earlier on the top layer.
Place the roll in an oven preheated to 150°C for 1 hour.
It should be golden brown; test with the thinnest knife to ensure the mixture doesn’t stick to it.
Serve with half a liter of yogurt on the side.
